The Pantry is a generosity initiative whose purpose is to help families in the community who are having a difficult time making ends meet. The Pantry is stocked with non-perishable food and other personal and household items through monthly food drives and other donations. We want to help folks in the community that are struggling to feed their family. Please help us help your friends and neighbors by getting the word out about The Pantry.
The Pantry has increased it’s committment to Shady Spring Elementary School (our community partner) through the backpack program. We’re providing all of the food for the program for the entire 2021-2022 school year.
Many students receive free or reduced-price meals through the National School Lunch Program and National School Breakfast Program. For some children, school meals may be the only meals they eat. What happens when these kids go home for the weekend?
The Pantry will provide the nutritious and easy-to-prepare food students need to get through the weekend. Each week, we will deliver backpacks to the school for distribution to the children most at risk. We’ll pick up empty backpacks from the prior week and bring them back the following week full of more food and even some yummy treats.
If you would like to get some food and supplies from The Pantry to help stretch your family’s budget, you can receive assistance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling The Pantry to leave a message at 410.882.1497. All personal information is kept completely confidential.
