“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”

Romans 6:4 (NIV)

Jesus is the author and perfecter of our faith. He is the 1st born from among the dead, he is above all things, below all things, he holds it all together. It’s all about Jesus. He alone is our hope.

This is why baptism is so important. The Bible talks about how we are baptized into Christ Jesus and it’s because we’re with him that we experience his glory and are gifted a new life. We identify with his death and burial and we experience his resurrection. We are raised with him and death is not the end, and we are raised with him to live a whole new life right here, right now.

If we don’t step into the waters of baptism, how will we fully experience his new life?
