PRESCHOOL

C3 Kids Preschool is where kids, from infants up through PreK-5, hang out during the service with leaders who provide loving care for them. We take safety and security seriously and we do everything possible to make it a safe place for your family.

What will my child learn each week?

For kids age two and up we focus on teaching them these three basic truths: God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever. We work through stories and characters from the Bible to help children learn these truths.

Who will my child’s leader be?

We have a team of leaders who serve each week in our C3 Kids rooms. Leaders serve weekly, providing a consistent presence to develop relationships with parents and children to help ensure their safety and knowledge of a loving God. Room assistants serve either weekly or bi-weekly and help to facilitate learning and care, providing personalized help to children. All volunteers are background checked and attend several ongoing volunteer trainings each year.

What activities will my child do on a typical Sunday morning?

Activities vary depending upon age. A typical schedule for an older preschool child (3 and up) includes time spent in Large Group and Small Group. In Large Group, kids hear a bible story and worship through singing. In Small Group, kids take part in activities to engage the senses and connect with their leader and other kids.

Are there steps in place to assure my child’s safety?

CCC is dedicated to creating safe environments for children. Upon check in you will receive two stickers, each containing a 4-digit code. One sticker will go on your child, the other you will keep. You must present  your sticker that matches your child’s sticker for your child to be released to you upon pick-up. *Please note-your child can not be released to you without the corresponding sticker.

What if my child needs me before the service is over?

If at any point during the service your child needs your assistance, the 4-digit code you received upon check-in will appear on the screens in service.

When can my child be a part of C3 Kids?

C3 Kids Preschool is open during all services. Doors open 10 minutes before each service. We have rooms for infants (nursery) through PreK-5.

How do I sign my child in?

There is a check in station in the lobby of our building (8009 Corporate Drive). If you are new to CCC, simply let one of the check-in volunteers know and they will get you signed in. If you’ve been to Community Christian Church before, you should have received a key tag specialized to your family. Simply scan that at the station and follow the prompts for easy, fast check in. Here’s a map to help you see where the check-in stations are:

ELEMENTARY

C3 Kids Elementary is a weekly environment for elementary-aged children. This is where children experience Large Group and Small Group. In Large Group, kids are welcomed and introduced to the theme, they’re taught from the Bible, and they worship God through singing together. In Small Group, kids connect with their leader and a group of peers, they apply what they learned in Large Group, and they participate in a variety of activities to reinforce the teaching.

What will my child learn each week?

In our C3 Kids Elementary environment we concentrate on 3 basic truths: I need to make the wise choice (wisdom), I can trust God no matter what (faith), and I should treat others the way I want to be treated (friendship). Children learn those 3 basic truths through a different life app each month.

PARENTS

Parents, check out the Facebook pages for Preschool Parents and Elementary Parents. Be sure to like the page so you see new posts. In addition, see below for information about how you can stay connected with what your child is learning each week in C3 Kids and how you can continue those conversations at home.

TheParentCue.org – A website designed to help equip and “cue” parents.

Each week in C3 Kids Preschool, parents receive a Parent Time card (for kids 2 and under) or a Small Talk card (kids over 2) to use at home that week.

Each week in C3 Kids Elementary, kids receive a Parent Cue card and a GodTime card for parents to use at home that week. The Parent Cue card informs parents about what their child learned that morning and provides a question for discussion. The GodTime card contains 4 days of devotions designed for parents and kids to use at home that aligns with what they learned that weekend.
